Haryana Day


Haryana is a North Indian State with an undoubtedly rich history and culture. It is the region where Vedic Civilization originated. It is the place where the Vedas were written and Lord Krishna preached Bhagavad Gita. Haryana is the 20th state of India that came in existence in 1966 on 1st November when it parted from the state Punjab. Keeping the continue culture and tradition of the state Haryana, RPS Primary Wing celebrated 'Haryana Day' with traditional fervour and gaiety. The occasion was embellished with august presence of Dr. Pavitra Rao (the Chairperson of RPS GOI) and Dr. Sarita V. Singh (Principal). Many cultural events were held by the students related to Haryanvi Culture. The students delivered speeches related to the history of Haryana. The most attractive event was the Haryanvi group dance. Haryanvi songs were presented by teachers. Dr. Pavitra Rao (Honourable Chairperson) greeted the students with her inspiring words. Respected Principal, Dr. Sarita V. Singh narrated about Haryanvi culture in elaboration. It was a learning experience for students. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
